Linking Learning Leveraging project partners are invited to submit a Letter of Intent for a research project within their organization requiring a student intern. Based on input at the one-day December 5, 2006 workshop, a Call for Letters of Intent was developed. Requests will be considered for internships of 4 month, 6 month or 12 month durations. Student interns will be matched with partner organizations. Students are also asked to submit applications (application form pdf) for these anticipated internships.
One of the central features of the research project is the importance of community partners. Much of the research is directed by the specific needs of social economy organizations. Three provincially-based organizations are responsible for facilitating the participation of our community partners and other social economy organizations in the region.
Through a competitive process, interested parties can apply to their corresponding provincial organization for resources to pursue research agendas consistent with the direct needs of their organizations. These resources take the form of internships that are made available to graduate and undergraduate students. The internships are for the following periods of duration:
Community partners may also apply for community release funds. The provincial organizations receive direct funding to support administrative and community liaison activities, as well as funds for an annual provincial workshop.
Each organization has their own application process and will call for internship proposals when they come available. Watch for calls for proposals on this page or contact any of the above organizations for further information.
